Scope

The CAM 2009 is a joint meeting of the Canadian (CAP), American (APS) and Mexican (SMF) Physical Societies focusing on graduate students' education. The aim of this event is to provide an outstanding opportunity for students to develop professional skills, learn a broad range of physics topics, and initiate interactions across geographical borders. Furthermore, it will foster communication and exchange of ideas among students of various backgrounds and interests.

This multidisciplinary meeting will focus on reviews of scientific progress, trends in last century, and the scientific challenges in the XXI century. Along the two days and a half working days, the program will consist on Regular Talks  from graduate students (MSc & PhD) and young researchers (Postdocs),  with intercalated Invited Talks sessions given by renowned  specialists on diverse fields of physics, as well as one or two  Poster Sessions. The invited talks are addressed primarily to graduate students and young researchers,  but will be open also to undergraduates as well.

At the conference, all the participants will have the opportunity to disseminate posters, brochures, and other material promoting their graduate programs and universities. Dissemination tables and poster boards will be available upon request.
